// about

A builder, not an entrepreneur

I'm a hands-on technical architect and lifelong builder — currently Technical Architect at STGI, before that Principal Architect at NuFlights and Colligence. I care about correctness, freedom, and code that still makes sense in a decade.

I'm a dropout — yes, I am not a graduate. School ended in 2006 and the terminal taught me the rest, in public, for nearly two decades. I maintain awesome-programmer — the self-taught path, written down for the next person — and at Nitimis I taught people with zero tech background to start QA-automation careers, unpaid, on purpose. The commit history is my transcript.

I'm most at home building (micro)services in Rust and Python, but I've shipped across the whole stack — browser-side (.js, .ts, .wasm), server-side (.rs, .py), and the infrastructure underneath (Terraform, Pulumi, Kubernetes). Lately my obsession is symbolic reasoning: systems that derive instead of merely predict.

I contribute to open source, reverse-engineer things for fun, and believe the best software is the kind you can read, port, and resurrect. Not an entrepreneur — I just want to build the things.

// philosophy
Nothing is owed. Build anyway.

Optimistic nihilism, to me, isn't despair — it's a license. If the universe hands out no inherent meaning, then meaning is something you author, on purpose, into the things you build. So I build: correct, small, honest systems that don't need the world to justify them.

Where I've built

  • 2026 — now
    Technical Architect · STGI

    Backend engineering for niche tech initiatives.

  • 2023 — 2026
    Principal Architect, Platform · NuFlights

    Scaling the airline-retailing platform I originally built at Reckonsys; rewrote the NDC adapter from Python to Rust (async-graphql, sea-orm).

  • 2023 — 2025
    Principal Architect, Distributed Systems/Rust · Colligence Research

    First MVP of a distributed WebRTC media server in Rust; CI/CD and Pulumi infrastructure-as-code end to end.

  • 2022 — 2023
    Software Architect · Appknox

    A Rust microservice generating CycloneDX SBOMs from iOS/Android binaries — no source code required.

  • 2018 — 2023
    CTO · Nitimis

    Non-profit ethos: RobotFramework QA services + teaching people with zero tech background to start QA-automation careers, unpaid.

  • 2019 — 2022
    VP of Engineering · Reckonsys

    Led engineering while staying ~70% hands-on. Django/GraphQL/React, cookiecutter scaffolding, open-sourced 'bigga'.

  • 2014 — 2017
    Tech Lead, Full-Stack & DevOps · Appknox

    Architected the mobile-security platform from scratch; built the team from one to five; iOS/Android device farm.

  • 2012 — 2014
    Software Engineer · Tataatsu · LaunchYard

    CollabLayer, ReWire (iOS mindfulness app, 2012), DBS, DelightHQ, and friends.
